Seagulls flying over the ferry to the island.
Floh on the ferry
We biked around the island. Here is a view of the west beach.
This is a view of the north beach. It looks like 2 oil rigs in the distance.
Some funky looking dunes were on the way and 2 lighthouses. This is #1.
Before heading to the beach we explored some bike paths on the island.
The red signs show & name the paths.
I made this picture while biking :-)
Then we found a path from behind the dunes towards a secluded part of the beach.
We let my new kite fly.
This is a view of the path we biked back on.
Views of the beach.
View of the area between the beach and the dunes.
Unfortunately it was a little too windy to swim.
And the water was still really cold...
Biking in the sand isn't so easy.
On a WWII bunker.
Our lunch spot at university.
The cs building.
Then we went on another trip to the island. If you speak German you should figure out what this means (Drijfsand = Treibsand = quick sand)
The second lighthouse.
We were well equipped to find geocaches.
Near the main beach entry.
This time we biked along the beach until there was nobody else around anymore.
Garbage everywhere :-(
Tiny crabs were to be found this time.
Also much bigger ones.
Queen seagull on the way back.
A very nice trip to the island is over...
I took some pictures of our neighborhood. This is the house being constructed across the street.
This is our house.
Bikes parked in front of the supermarket in our house.
A flower on the street.
Kids get padded jumping games on the street ;-).
Not as sharp as I would have liked but still kind of cool.
The signs says that it's not allowed to park bikes there.
Some cool looking manhole covers.
A lot of red-bricked hourses around...
This is some creative problem fixing. Found in Amsterdam.
A canal in Amsterdam.
